Eliezer Halivni - member of Kibbutz Beit Alfa and later member of Kibbutz Ramat Yochanan. While dwelling in Emek Yizrael he encountered Bedouins and was exposed to the Arab folklore and to the orient; was inspired by the discovery of the mosaic floor of the ancient synagogue in Beit Alfa. Integrated in his work the local, oriental culture.
