A letter of greeting to a donator by Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman, the head of the Bernowitz Yeshiva and author of 'Kovetz Shi'urim' from the time he was in New York to raise funds for the Bernowitz Yeshiva.
Rabbi Wasserman begins his letter with an announcement that he is about to return to Europe.
The letter is written in English, typewritten on official stationery that Rabbi Wasserman had printed in New York. An illustration of the Yeshiva appears on the upper part of the leaf.
On the lower part of the leaf, Rabbi Wasserman's handwritten signature.
Rabbi Elchanan Bonim Wasserman (1874-1941) was a prominent rabbi and one of the outstanding heads of yeshiva in Europe before the Holocaust. He was a leading disciple of the "Chafetz Chaim". Authored the book "Kovetz Shi'urim", which is a basic book for studying the Talmud. He perished in the Holocaust.
Condition: Fair. Slits and tears due to folding. The upper part of the leaf is detached from its lower part.
