Religious Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Chazon Ish – about "The Most Painful Question in Our Holy Land": The Controversy regarding Milking on Sabbath
A letter sent by the Chazon Ish to one of the prominent Rabbis of the Land of Israel, about the "Milking Controversy" which for years preoccupied the leading rabbis of the Land of Israel.
The Chazon Ish writes: "… the question of milking is the most painful one in our holy land since it cannot be permitted unless the milk is wasted on the ground or in a container with kerosene or something else that destroys the milk … and all the Heterim are fabricated and baseless…"
At the end of the letter, he notes: "There is one more option, milking by an electrical machine, as is done in Kibbutz Chafetz Chaim".
The complete letter is handwritten by the Chazon Ish (six lines) and signed by him.
Condition: Good. A stain in the center on two words.
