Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yitzchak leib Grossberg to Rabbi Smuel Salant, the rabbi of Jerusalem. Trestina, 1881.
In the first part of the letter, the writer mentions their stay in Bialystok "many years ago". Then he recalls that four years ago he had sent Rabbi Salant his letter "Shai La'Morah" and had not received a reply. Therefore, he is sending another copy of the book. In the second part of the letter "so that my words will not be idle talk, I will write what you have commented on" on the laws of Me'asrot. He signs: "From me who is covered by the dust made by the feet of a Torah scholar, Yitzchal Leb Grossberg".
To the best of our knowledge, the letter has not been printed.
Written on blue paper. Two pages of a folded leaf. Size of page: 20 cm.
Rabbi Yitzchak Leib Grossberg, author of "Shai La'Morah" was a rabbi of the Trestina community. He was known for his piety and died very old. He studied Torah with Rabbi Meir Simcha Ha'Cohen of Dvinsk author of 'Or Same'ach'.
