Sefer HaChaim by Rabbi Chaim son of Rabbi Betzalel of Friedberg - Mussar and chassidut "Showing the way in which man goes before and after he sins [and the effect on] the soul, and also the rest of man's conduct with his Maker." Medzhibozh, 1817. Bluish paper copy.
Enthusiastic approbation by Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta at the beginning of the book: "Matters of utmost importance, emanating from the holy mouth of Marana ve'Rabbana, the great gaon, minister of Torah, mirror of light, Rabbi Chaim son of Rabbi Betzalel, may his memory be for the world to come ... the pleasure of his holy words was very sweet to me."
