Rennert was born in Mannheim , Germany in 1929
After the rise of the Nazis to power in 1933 , his family fled to France and then in 1935 moved to Palestine.
He studied art at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv and at the Midrasha School of Art in Ramat Hasharon (now part of Beit Berl Academic College ) and a member of the Painters Association since 1961 . He taught painting at Tel Aviv University . During his career, he conducted about 65 solo exhibitions in Israel and Europe and participated in more than 200 group exhibitions. In 2007 he exhibited in Israel for the first time in 15 years.
Died in April 2009 .
