Special Large Segulah Leaf to be Granted a Male Child, in the Ben Ish Chai's Handwriting.

Segulah leaf - woman's prayer to be granted a male child, to be said in the month of Tishrei, when the holy mothers Sarah, Rachel, and Chana conceived - in handwriting of Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad, author of the Ben Ish Chai.

Specifications[1] leaf. 20.5x13 cm. 21 lines, entirely in his holy handwriting. The segulah was printed in Sefer Leshon Chachamim, and in his book Ateret Tiferet.

Special Features: The page before us is very rare, both in its content and in size. While Ben Ish Chai used to write his compilations on small notebook pages of 13X10 cm, here he wrote this marvelous prayer on a page almost twice the size.

Contents: "Master of the universe, just as Sarah and Rachel were granted [sons] and remembered favorably in this month ... Remember me favorably and grant me a pregnancy, that I may conceive a male child together with my husband, and grant him a holy soul ... And may we, my husband and I, be privileged to bring him into the covenant of Avraham Avinu, and merit to rejoice in his Torah, chuppah, and good deeds ..." A handwriting expert's certificate of authenticity is attached, as well as a transcript of this entire awesome prayer, in block letters.

Background: Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad (1839-1909), author of Ben Ish Chai and great Oriental scholar of our time. Born to Rabbi Eliyahu Chaim son of Rabbi Moshe Chaim, rabbi of Baghdad. Student of Rabbeinu Abdullah Somech, already known for his genius and righteousness from his youth. He began sermonizing in the Great Synagogue when he was only 26, and thereafter spoke every Shabbat and Yom Tov for the next fifty years. Thousands of people would gather to hear his sweet words for hours upon hours. He became renowned as "unique in his generation" in both hidden and revealed Torah all over the world, and known for his tremendous righteousness. In 1869, he traveled to the Land of Israel to prostrate himself on the graves of the righteous, when it was revealed to him from heaven that he is from the root of the soul of Benayahu Ben Yehoyada, and this is why his some of his dozens of books are called Ben Ish Chai, Ben Ish Chayil, Ben Yehoyada, Rav Pealim, Od Yosef Chai, and more.

Condition: Very fine. The page placed in passe-partout within luxurious leather binding.
