Rabbi Ovadia Yosef (5681-5774) was a Sephardic rabbi and cantor who served as the Sephardic chief rabbi and was its spiritual leader and president of the Council of Torah Sages of the Shas Party since its establishment. As the senior Sephardic rabbis of his generation, and was known by his disciples as the great generation, "the ruling of the generation" and Maran.
The Abir Yaakov: Rabbi Ya'akov Abuchatzeira was the rabbi of Tephilalat in Morocco, a kabbalist, cantor, author, preacher and poet, and one of the greatest rabbis of Morocco. He was considered a master of wonders and of those who were privileged to be revealed. The grandfather of Baba Sali and the fathers of the Abuhatzeira family.
