Letter from Rabbi Mordechai Vorhand of Nitra HY"D. 1935
A handwritten letter from Rabbi Mordechai Vorhand addressed ro Rav Yosef Zvi Dushinski as chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, seeking help with obtaining an entrance certificate to Eretz Yisroel.
Rabbi Mordechai Vorhand [1886-1944] was born to his father Reb Moshe. He learned by Rabbi Eliezer Deitch , Rabbi Chanaye Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum [Kedushas Yom Tov], and Rabbi Moshe Grunwald of Chust [Arugas Habosem]. After his marriage in 1908 he served as rabbi in Betlan, and succeeded his father as rabbi of Nitra when he became Rav of Mako.
He perished in the Holocaust - Hashem Yinkom DAmo
