Full set of twelve complete sheets of postage stamps, depicting Chagall’s Tribes of Israel series of stained-glass windows, created for the synagogue of the Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem.
Each sheet signed boldly signed by Marc Chagall. Fifteen stamps per sheet, each sheet with all edges. 7.7 x 9.1 inches (19.5 x 23 cm). Fine condition.

Following their exhibition in Paris and New York, Chagall’s celebrated Jerusalem Windows were permanently installed in February, 1962. In 1973 the State of Israel issued a series of fine commemorative postage stamps.
