Background: In 1919, there were pogroms against Ukranian and Eastern European Jews by Symon Petliura's army, leader of the Cossacks at the time. The document before us, from the Paris Peace Conference, details the various places there were pogroms, with an indication of the number killed. Also attached is a call to the Jews of the United States to protest against the pogroms and murders of Eastern European Jewry.
