Literary anthology published by the "Toelet" society that united Jewish intellectuals in Amsterdam. At the end of the introduction – signature in pen by one of the society heads, Alexander Tal.
3. Haporet… / Gedichten en Redevoeringen in de Hebreeuwsche Taal, by Gabriel ben Isaac Polak (G.J. Polak). Printed by David ben Ya'akov Props Katz, Amsterdam, [1836]. Hebrew and some Dutch.
A book by the Dutch Maskil Gabriel Polak. The first part includes translations of poems into Hebrew and the second part includes eulogies and versions of tombstones. Illustration on the Dutch title page.
4-5. Pirche Zafon…compiled and gathered by Eliezer Lipman Horowitz and Shmuel Yosef Finn. First booklet and second booklet. Printed by M. Romm and Z. Madpis, Vilnius, 1841 and 1844. No other booklets were printed.
"Pirche Zafon" was the first Jewish Enlightenment periodical in the Russian Empire.
Presented are two bound volumes: the first volume compiles the two booklets (the sexond booklet is lacking at the end), the second volume includes the second booklet only.
6. Shem veYefet, periodical edited by Israel Rall. Printed by Anna Wajdowicz, Lvov, 1887-1888. Four brochures bound in one volume.
A periodical published by the Galician Enlightenment movement member Israel Rall. Size and condition vary. Books were not thoroughly examined and are sold AS IS.
