Doron Bar-Adon, Israeli, was born in 1940.
Doron Bar-Adon was born in Jerusalem in 1940. He grew up in Jerusalem and Merhavia in the Jezreel Valley. His father, Pesach Bar Adon, was an archaeologist and his mother, Dorothy, was a journalist and writer. In the early 1950s he studied painting with Marcel Janco in Oranim. Between the years 1964-1962 Bar-Adon dealt with the restoration of antiquities. Along with pottery studies at Bezalel and sculpture by Rudy Lehman. His wife is the sculptor Raya Bar-Adon. He lives and works on the beach.
During the 1970's Bar-Adon created figurative sculpture in clay. In "East / West Figurine" (1974) or "Womb-Woman" (1974), for example, Bar-Adon presented images of women shaped by archeological figures. In the works he began to do at the time in the public sphere, he used an abstract and geometric style. During the 1980s he began to present a figurative painting, made in an expressive style with biographical images.
