the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation renewed the minting of the series of ordinary coins, which they had ceased minting since 1972 5732.
The 5 and 10 agorot coins were minted in aluminum, and for the first time the regular 5 shekel coin was included in the series. Each coin was in a transparent plastic pocket inside a soft plastic cover. Enclosed was a list of the numismatic details.
