A letter of greeting from the Rebbe of Spinka, Rabbi Mordechai David Kahana, to Rabbi Eliyahu Sternbuch of Antwerp.
The Admor Rabbi Mordechai David Kahana (5691 - 5771), the Admor of Spinka Jerusalem. Son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Menachem Hershtik. He was born in 1930. In 1941 he immigrated with his father to Eretz Israel. In Jerusalem, he married the daughter of the late Rabbi Moshe Menachem Hershtik, and since his father's death in 1938, Rabbi Mordechai David sat in his chair and led his Beit Midrash in Jerusalem for thirty-three years. The Admor was also a member of the "Otzar Ha-Posekim" system and was a great talmid hakham in his own right, and the words of the Torah he delivered at his tables were of Talmudic content.
Rabbi Eliyahu Sternbuch (1931 - - 2017) was the Av Beit Din of the "Machzikei HaDat" congregation in Antwerp, Belgium, for about fifty years.
