A letter of thanks and request for support and assistance in his meeting, in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz, head of the "Beit Knesset" Yeshiva, Vilna, 1927. [1926].
The Gaon Rabbi Baruch Dov (Ber) Leibowitz: (1864-1940), author of Birkat Shmuel, one of the greatest Torah recruits of his generation. Among the disciples of Rabbi Chaim of Brisk in the Volozhin Yeshiva, son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Zimmerman, Av Beit Din of Chosk. When his father-in-law was appointed to serve in Kremenzog, he took up his place in the Llosk Rabbinate and established a yeshiva there. After 13 years he was invited to serve as head of the Knesset Beit Yitzhak Yeshiva in Slobodka, and during the First World War he wandered to Minsk, Kremenchug and Vilna, until he finally established it in Kamenitz. His oral and written teachings are among the cornerstones of deep yeshiva study.
