Tikkun Shtarot by Rabbi Zeev Wolf, Szemdro 1847

Tikkun Shtarot asher Likateti v'Chibarti Lihiyot Achadim B'Yadi b'kol Et She'Etztarech. Verpelet, 1847. The small one, Zeev Wolf son of Rabbi Shmuel HaCohen of Szemdro.

Before us is the Tikkun Shtarot apparently used as the source for copying contracts for the needs of community members. Contracts on the following subjects: tenaim rishonim, tenaim acharonim, ketubah, ketubah supplement, shtar chatzi zachar, shtar chalitzah, and shtar bitachon chalitzah [pertaining to issues related to engagement, marriage, inheritance, Levirate law]. Some of the contracts were translated into Hungarian so that laymen would know what they were signing. On leaf 5a: philosophic terms with Hebrew translation.

9 leaves. Ink on paper. 1847-1862. 21x36 cm. Ashkenazic script. Without binding. Moderate-fine condition. Aging stains.
