Two stencil leaves that were printed during the Holocaust with a special prayer that was said at the "Churvah" synagogue of Jerusalem. Extremely rare!
The prayer that includes the opening of the Holy Ark, Psalms (all printed on the leaf before us); the blowing of the shofar, the prayers of "Acheinu kol beit Yisrael" [our brothers the complete house of Israel]. Reading the scroll of Eicha [the Book of Lamentations]. After the Psalms, a special prayer was printed: "God full of mercy … do not fall silent and restrain yourself when the blood of Israel flows like water … many hundred thousands of men and women boys and girls which have been killed and slaughtered burnt and drowned strangled and buried alive …"
The version of the prayer was written by Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Ha'Levi Herzog and the Rishon Le'Zion Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel.
The prayer refers to "hundred thousands of Jews", the true numbers of the victims of the Holocaust being yet unknown. Th eprayer took place at the "Churvah" Synagogue of Jerusalem and was attended by the Rebbe of Ger author of 'Imrei Emet.
"Lamentation" – one of the lamentations that are said on Tisha Be'Av.
