The Ottoman Postal Service – the Jewish Quarter, 1902 – Bilingual Label of Registered Mail, including Yerushalem in Hebrew! – Extremely Rare!
An envelope that was sent from the Ottoman post office of the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem, near the Great Synagogue at Churvat Yehuda Ha'Chassid, with a special stamp: JERUSALEM QUART ISRAELIT, 6pm, 9.11.1902.
The pink label is bilingual: JERUSALEM-ירושלם, no. 6116.
Extremely rare!
The envelope was sent to Mr. Ansbacher of the orthodox community of Würzburg led by Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger of Würzburg.
Condition: Very Good.
