A collection of letters and envelopes of a health worker in the Galilee region of Tiberias, to his beloved Mataf, apparently belonged to the Shachariya group, 1931-3, which included dozens of handwritten letters sent to his beloved. The letters are personal and are intended to receive from his lover information about her health and actions, as well as information about him. One envelope mentions "the group of its soldiers to a fire extinguisher." * The Shachariya group - one of the pioneering training communes (kibbutzei hachshara) of the He - Chaluts movement in Vilnius (Vilna), from which pioneers set out to settle in Palestine.
