Torat Zevach. Laws of ritual slaughter and inspection by Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, with the ‘takanot’ of Rabbi Shlomo Kluger. Lemberg, 1848. First edition. [1] 46 [4] leaves. 24 cm. Owner signatures and stamps. One of the first works by the author of the “Kitzur Shulchan Aruch”. Approbation of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz [later a strong disagreement broke out between them], and an enthusiastic approbation from Rabbi Shlomo Kluger. Rabbi Shlomo Kluger added the ‘takanot’ that he had made regarding ritual slaughter since, ‘he had found someone after his own heart’. Owner stamps and signatures. Original, chafed half-leather binding. Blemish to the title page and margins of the last leaf. Aging stains. Solitary worming holes in a few leaves. Fine condition.
