The Babylonian Talmud with all the commentaries, as printed earlier with many additions….published by the Va’ad Agudat HaRabbanim in the American zone of Germany, with the assistance of the United States Army and the Joint in Germany. Munich- Heidelberg, 1948. 19 volumes. 39.5 cm. Copy of the Romm Vilna edition with Rav Alfas. Additional illustrated title page added to each volume. The title page was printed on a yellow background, with illustrations of a Nazi labor camp and Hebrew text from Psalms. The upper section has an illustration of a shining sun along with another Hebrew text noting the transformation from ‘servitude to redemption, from darkness to the great light’. The back of the title page features a printed introduction from the Va’ad HaRabbanim in the American Zone of Germany. New, matching bindings. Very fine condition.
