Huge handwritten composition on the Rambam. Ten volumes
Huge composition of Rav Yehuda Hillborne on the ‘Mishne Torah’ [C. 1920-1935] Ten massive volumes, thousands of pages. 32 cm. Including commentaries of: ‘Zmanim’, ‘Nashim’, ‘Kedusha’, ‘Haflaa’, ‘Avoda’, ‘Tahara’, ‘Nezikin’, and ‘Kinyan’. Never printed. Approbation from 1932 of Rav Baruch Markus, Rabbi of Haifa, for the printing of this work. Not much is known about Rav Yehuda Hillborne, who apparently did not serve in a rabbinical position, but it is clear the he was a great Torah scholar who dedicated years to searching, explaining and commenting on the compositions of the Rambam. Rav Yehuda Hillborne was born around 1870, immigrated to Israel through Cyprus, lived in Haifa and passed away in 1958. He also left a huge composition on principles organized alphabetically. Along with the handwritten letter of approbation by Rav Baruch Marcus, Chief Rabbi of Haifa, 1932, and additional letters. Bound in new beautiful bindings with gold embossments. Fine condition.
