Collection of Torah novellae on tractates of the Talmud, aggada and sermons and eulogies by Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Tirer of Frankfurt. 26 numbered leaves, written on both their sides with a clear, legible hand. 33 cm. Marginal revisions and supplements. The manuscript includes novellae on tractates: Pesachim, Beitza, Kidushin, Chulin, eulogies and aggada. Rabbi Shlomo Zalman HaKohen Tirer was born in Frankufurt in [1758], and disseminated Torah and was Rabbi in the city for over sixty years. He served as dayan in the Beit Din of the Ba’al Hafla’a. After the death of the Ba’al Hafla’a’s son, he served as Rabbi of the community. HaGaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger wrote him a letter in [1822] and addressed him with glowing terms. New, half-leather binding. Aging stains. Reinforcement to the margins of leaf 25, without loss of text. Very fine condition.
