Unusual engraved frontispiece including banner depicting a lion with the words, ‘Judah is a young cub’ (Gur Aryeh Yehudah)hanging from the Temple Ark as the four-headed Vision from the Book of Daniel hovers overhead. Eighty-year Hebrew calendar at end, several contemporary manuscript calculations. Prayer times through the year for the Community of Amsterdam recorded in Spanish. Endpapers with previous owner’s annotations in Hebrew and Spanish. Wider margins. Finely bound.
