Rabbi Baruch Yerachmiel Rabinowitz [1915-1997], served as the Admor of Munkacz from 1935 until 1943. After the passing of his great father-in-law, he immigrated in 1935 to fill his place as Av Beit Din of Munkacs and despite his youth (22) He was the leader of this great community for three years, until the outbreak of World War II, during which he suffered many hardships after he was deported by the authorities from Munkacs (after being a Polish citizen) and after many exile and reincarnation (Was a rescue worker in Budapest, and from there fled to Palestine via Turkey and Lebanon), survived the Holocaust and arrived in Jerusalem in the year 1943 with his entire family. (When he arrived, he managed to bring with him part of the large library of ancient books and manuscripts from the home of the Minchat Elazar and the Darcei Teshuva of Munkacs). Upon their arrival in Jerusalem, his wife, Chaya Frumet, fell ill and died a year later, leaving five small orphans behind.
