Signature on the title page: הק' וואלף פולדא [The small one, R' Wolf Fulda].
This book features prominent approbations, including one from the Chid"a.
Rabbi Wolf Fulda was a disciple of the author of the Bigdei Kehunah. He was a rabbi and rosh yeshivah in Furth and his students became the Torah leaders in Ashkenaz. He was involved in the dispute with the Reformers who opposed him and his yeshivah, which was closed in 1861. He was a colleague of the Chatam Sofer.
