6 pages of paper. 10 * 13 cm, 14-12 lines on each page, Oriental writing.

Rabbi Yosef Chaim of Baghdad - (5593-5669), author of Ben Ish Chai and the greatest sage of the East at the time. He was born to Rabbi Eliyahu Chaim ben Rabbi Moshe Chaim of Baghdad. A disciple of Rabbeinu Abdallah Somekh, who as a young man was known for his genius and his justness. Began to preach in the Great Synagogue and he was only 26 years old, and since then he preached every Shabbat and Yom Tov there for fifty years. In his special sermons, thousands of people would gather to hear his sweet words for four and five hours. He was known as the "One of Badra" in the revealed and hidden in all parts of the world, and was known for his great holiness. In 1869 he traveled to the Land of Israel to prostrate himself on the graves of the righteous, and then he was revealed to him from the heavens that he was descended from the soul of Benayahu ben Jehoiada, and from there he chose the names of many of his dozens of works: Ben Ish Hai, Ben Ish Chayil, son of Yehoyada, And more.
