A Rare Copper Alloy Synagogue Hanging Lamp, Persia, Mid 19th Century

Description: In a cut and pierced design. The bottom part decorated with perched birds amidst flowers and surmounted by a band of scrolling branches. The central part with oval cartouches hammered with sheep amidst flowers and centered by a band with an Persian inscription in Hebrew letters. Terminating in an expanding neck also decorated with a similar decoration and suspended with an original link chain.

Condition: Missing bottom finial and glass insert for oil and water
