Shana Tova card from the head of the Judenrat in Lodz ghetto, Chaim Mordechai Rumkowski, 1941. Yiddish. The card is addressed to "Mom and Dad" and apart from wishing the addressees a happy new year, it informs the parents that they are about to receive a ration card for bread for their children, and promises to give the children 5 candies. 9.5X15.5 cm. Good condition (slight stains, hole, tears on left side).
