Neot Mordechai: 1949
The title page states: “The first year of Medinat Israel;” and the introduction notes: “Who can compare the change from last year to this year? Who can forget the blockades which caused us to do without matzah and wine? This was a place of danger but the days of Pesach brought our victory, independence and salvation.” Kibbutz Naot Mordechai located in the Upper Galilee, was established November, 1946, by immigrants from Czechoslovakia, Germany and Austria. It was named in honor of Mordechai Rozovsky, a Zionist activist in Argentina. Today, Naot Mordechai is the home of Teva Naot, the popular shoe and sandal manufacturer.
