Beit Aharon and the Tosafot, a key to the Talmud and Midrashim on the Seder of the Torah by the Ga'on HaChasid Rabbi Avraham David Lavat Av Beit Din of Nikolaev. Vilna, 1880. First edition, approbation of Rabbi Shmuel of Lubavitch.
On the page after the title page, the author stamped and signed in his handwriting: "Avraham David's speech to Awat Moetz", "Nikalayev".
Rabbi Avraham David Lavat (1815-1890), a disciple of 'Tzemach Tzedek' and one of the leading Rabbis and Chasidim of the Chabad of Eastern Europe, served in the rabbinate for 40 years in the city of Nikolaev on the Black Sea, Only 35 years old until the end of his life, author of the books Sha'ar Kollel on the Siddur of the Alter Rebbe, Kaveh Nekih and Beit Aharon and the Tosafot. His granddaughter is the Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson, the mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who listed his great-grandfather's books in the publishing house of Kehat and wrote his biography in the introduction.
