Western Asiatic Babylonian Cuneiform Tablet
20th-16th century BC
A baked clay rectangular pillow-shaped tablet with lines of cuneiform text to one broad face, two low-relief rouletted(?) friezes to the reverse with two standing figures approaching a robed figure seated on a voided rectangle. 43 grams, 54mm (2 1/4"). Fine condition.

From the Aldred family private collection; acquired by the vendor's father before 1950.
