Roman Gold Inscribed Double Bezel Ring
3rd century AD
A gold finger ring comprising a D-section hoop with keeled and gusseted shoulders, two parallel scaphoid bezels, with enigmatic inscription 'TER / NOC'. 3.25 grams, 20.50mm overall, 16.37x15.48mm internal diameter (approximate size British I 1/2, USA 4 3/4, Europ 8.63, Japan 8) (3/4"). Very fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a European gentleman living in the UK; formerly in a private collection formed in the 1990s.
