Western Asiatic Serpentine Stamp Seal with Ibex
2nd millennium BC
A carved conical serpentine stamp seal with radiating hatched bands and pierced top, intaglio motif of an ibex with drilled eye. 89 grams, 50mm high (2"). Very fine condition.

Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965.
