5th-6th century AD
An iron javelin head with slender triangular head and flared shoulders, long neck with baluster detailing, flared socket with attachment holes; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1.2 kg, spearhead: 37.5cm (14 3/4"). Fine condition. Professionally cleaned and restored.
Provenance
From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s.
