Medieval Macehead
12th-15th century AD
A twelve-pointed bronze macehead, the median row of four thick spikes flanked by rows of four shorter spikes, a thick collar to centre. 99.5 grams, 38mm (1 1/2"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
