Medieval Resting Lion Statue
12th-14th century AD
A carved stone figure of a lion asleep with head resting on the forepaws, tail curled beneath the hindleg. 4.8 kg, 27cm width (10 3/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
