16th-17th century AD
A glass cameo engraved with female bust, possibly an empress, with hair swept back in curls, tied to the back and falling in ponytails to the back of neck. 3.14 grams, 22mm (3/4"). Very fine condition.

Property of a private collector; acquired before 1975.
