Post Medieval Gold Ring with Dove Intaglio
18th-19th century AD
A gold ring in Byzantine style comprising a D-section hoop with serpent-head shoulders, fluted tulip bezel with inset chalcedony disc, intaglio bird motif. 11 grams, 35mm overall, 19.92mm internal diameter (approximate size British U, USA 10, Europe 22.52, Japan 21) (1 1/2"). Fine condition. A large wearable size.

Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent.
