Jean Baptiste Porcher (1792-1864) and his wife were Theatrical Agents who used to purchase copyrights and ticket passes for their authors, later reselling them at the entrance doors of theatres. Diane de Lys (1851) is a playwright by Alexandre Dumas fils. The premiere was performed in Paris at the Gymnase theatre.
