[BAUDELAIRE CHARLES]: (1821-1868) French Poet, a pioneering translator of Edgar Allan Poe. An excellent unsigned 7.5 x 9.5 woodburytype print monochrome photograph of Baudelaire, the image being by Etienne Carjat (1828-1906), French photographer. The most famous portrait of the French poet corresponds to the ''Galerie Contemporaine'' edition, printed to the heading and matted white border.
