Izmail Aliyevich Urazov (1896-1965) — writer, journalist, editor. He was born in the village of Azeevo, now Ryazan region. After leaving the village, he received a legal education (probably in Kharkov). In 1917-18 he published several collections of poems, co-author of the collections "Poets on the square" (Kharkiv, 1917) and "Tropa" (Kharkiv, 1922, where the poems of Ilya Ehrenburg were published). Then he moved to Moscow. From the mid-1920s he published articles and notes about the circus. In 1925-1929 he headed the editorial offices of "Circus" and "Circus and stage»; author of reviews, critical notes, literary portraits of circus artists (including Vladimir Durov). Author of one of the first books in the Soviet Union devoted to such a direction of the illusionary genre as fakir art (Fakirs, M.: Thea-cinema-printing, 1928). In 1926 Izmail Urazov publishes brochures about ASTA Nielsen , Greta Garbo, Ossie Oswald and other silent film actors. In the same 1926 participated in the creation of the film by Dziga Vertov “the Sixth part of the world.” The author of the Preface to the collection “English writers” (Kharkiv, 1925). It is known that in the 1930s, Ismail Urazov worked in senior positions in the magazine "USSR at the construction site", which was headed by the mysterious Evgenia Khayutina — Ezhov's wife. Later, in the 1950s, he recalled that Isaac Babel often came to Evgenia Khayutina, and they edited the texts. After the war, he collaborated with such a remarkable for Stalin's time publication as "fashion Magazine". Izmail Urazov gained fame primarily for his small book "Why do we say so", published in the library of the magazine "Ogonyok" in 1956 in a huge circulation. This work received a warm response from Korney Chukovsky, who called Urazov's book "charming". Purchased after the death of the critic NN.Urazovo-Dmitrieva, book donated and signed Kraczkowski on the 50th anniversary of Ismail Aliev.
