Hanoar Hazioni is a Jewish-Zionist youth movement.

The movement began its activity, like many other Jewish youth movements, in the early 20th century. What distinguishes Hanoar Hazioni at that time from other movements was its being a secular Zionist youth movement that did not belong to the leftist stream (ie, not socialist).

In 1932, as a response to waves of anti-Semitism, its leaders decided to emphasize the Zionist idea and its fulfillment by settling in Eretz Yisrael. In 1932, the Zionist youth movement led by Yitzhak Steiger initiated the establishment of an umbrella organization called the World Zionist Organization Socialist-Marxist movement. The movement spread throughout Central and Eastern Europe,

The first pioneers of the movement immigrated to Israel in 1930, and established the Israeli branch of the movement.
