The Legion of the Land of Israel
The Palestine Regiment, or, as is well known, the Palestine Regiment, was an infantry regiment of the British Army that operated during the Second World War and was composed of volunteers from Mandate Palestine. The original aspiration was that the regiment would be divided with half the soldiers Jewish and half the Arabs, but in practice the number of Jewish volunteers was much greater.
