Scroll of Esther in Vellish-Sephardic Script. 19th Century
"HaMelech" megillah. Ink on dipped parchment. Beautifully written Vellish script. There is a separate parchment added to the megillah with a compilation of verses of salvation and mercy, and the blessings on the megillah.
4 sheets. 21 columns. 30 lines. 209x21 cm. Moderate-fine condition. There are tears in the first sheet (in the part before the megillah) without damage to text. There is a tear in the parchment between chapters 9 and 10; it does not damage the text. The column listing Haman's ten sons has some damage to the text.
