Tehillim – Zhitomir, 1847
Seder Tehillim with Ma'amadot, "arranged according to the days of the week and one who says them daily is promised the World to Come". Zhitomir, 1847, the Rabbi of Slavita's grandchildren's printing press.
Includes Yehi Ratzon (prayer) before Tehillim after the title page. Hebrew and Yiddish. Starting from Page 183: Seder Ma'amadot (six pages only).
Prayer books published in Zhitomir by the holy Shapira brothers, grandsons of Rabbi Shapira of Slavita and Rabbi Pinchas of Korets, are well-known for their special segula, and were printed with the intention of rousing mercy when used for prayer.
Not complete (most of Seder Ma'amadot is missing), 188 pages [94 leaves, 47 pamphlets], 23 cm. Fair-good condition. Margins slightly cut off, light damage to titles at top of pages. Stains, tears and much moth damage, impressive professional-artistic restoration of high quality. New, very fancy leather cover.
Rare. Bibliographically unknown [possibly part of Siddur Korban Mincha].
