Rabbinic emissary bill for Kollelot of the Holy City of Hebron to the cities of Egypt, to Rabbi Nissim Franko “son of the righteous… our mentor Rabbi… Rachamim Yosef Franko”. Hebron, 1911.
Fine scribe writing. Signatures of the rabbis of the city: “Sliman Menachem Mani”, “Rabbino Chanoch Chasson”, “Meir Shmuel Kashtil”. Stamps of the rabbis and Kollelot.
Rabbi Saliman Menachem Mani (1850-1924) was born in Baghdad to his father Rabbi Eliyahu Mani. Son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Firrereh. Member of the Beit Din of the Sdeh Chemed and successor to him as chief rabbi of Hebron.
Rabbi Meir Shmuel Kashtil, born in 1860 in Hebron. Member of the Beit Din of the Sdeh Chemed. Was murdered in the 1929 Palestine riots. Rabbi Rabbino Chanoch Chasson, born in 1867, was murdered in the 1929 Palestine riots.
