He was one of the sages of the "Beit Ya'akov Ferrara" yeshiva established by the author of "Or HaChaim" Hakadosh. His brother, and a member of the Beit Din of the Rishon L'Zion Rabbi Raphael Meyuchas author of "Pri HaAdamah" describes him:

Already during his lifetime, he was known as a Divine holy man and the people of his generation testified that he was like a Divine angel. He did not enjoy this world his entire life and suffered greatly: at the age of two, his father passes away and when he was forty, he became blinded. All his compositions are from before the age of thirty, that is, written up to 1730.
His compositions: "Sdeh HaAretz" responsa three sections (Salonika-Livorno, 1744-1798), "Digli Ahava" – commentary on the book "Derech Etz Chaim" and "Or Zaru'ah" by the Kabbalisy Ram Papros (three volumes. Jerusalem, 2003), "HaMa'or Hakatan" – commentary on the book "Etz Chaim" and "Siach HaSadeh" – novellae and commentary on Sefer HaKavanot.
On his gravestone it was written:
