Ricard "Ricky" Rubio Vives (b. 1990) is a Spanish basketball player who plays for the NBA Phoenix Suns in the center position. His talents were observed already in his youth, and just before his 15th birthday, Rubio became the youngest player ever in the Spanish basketball league. At 16, Rubio became the youngest EuroLeague player ever, in the game between Badalona and Panathinaikos. He was the fifth NBA draft pick, but he stayed in Europe to play for some more years before moving on to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he will soon be starting his 10th season with the NBA.
Accomplishments as a player: winning the EuroLeague championship (2010); winning the EuroLeague cup (2008); winning the EuroChallenge championship (2006); winning the premier-Spanish League championship (2011); NBA five rookies of the season (2012).
